Intro to Uniswap Foundation \nThe Uniswap Foundation (UF) was founded by Uniswap community members. We are dedicated to fostering innovation and decentralization across the broader DeFi landscape and supporting the growth and sustainability of the Uniswap Protocol and community. Our mission is to empower the DeFi community’s long-term success through grants, programs, partnerships, events, and governance initiatives. Over the past two years, we have helped to shape the Uniswap protocol’s growth through collaboration with protocol delegates, contributors, technical researchers, and partners. Our work has included spearheading governance proposals, coordinating with stakeholders on key product advancements, and fostering meaningful dialogue within the community.\n\nThe UF as an Optimism Delegate \nWith the launch of Unichain, we are excited to contribute directly to Superchain governance, and plan to take an active role from the core development process on up. We will draw on our experience in Uniswap governance and tap our technical and strategic resources to help guide the Collective's decision-making in ways that align with what we believe to be our shared purpose - to build credibly neutral infrastructure that is available to all and owned by none.\n\nWe are also excited to have been elected to the 2024 Cohort A of the Optimism Security Council. \n\nThe UF Team \nErin Koen (discourse, twitter, farcaster, telegram) is the UF's Head of Governance and will be leading our efforts at Optimism. From late 2019 through early 2023 he was a full-stack developer at Avantgarde Finance. While at Avantgarde, he helped spin up their Asset Management arm and started their governance practice with delegations in Compound and Uniswap. Since joining the UF in April 2023, he has worked actively with delegates to increase protocol governance’s resilience and led internal projects to upgrade the protocol's governance systems. In a past life, he worked in institutional emerging market foreign exchange and got his MBA from NYU. You can contact him directly on the links provided above.\n\nDisclosures on Conflicts of Interest \nWith the exception of a small number of non-material one-off grants or stipends (e.g. for our work on the Security Council), the UF is funded entirely by Uniswap Governance. In the event that a particular proposal creates a conflict of interest to the UF or to UF leadership, that conflict will be disclosed and if it is material, the UF or the specific team member may abstain from any active participation in that particular proposal.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
